I just want to upload photos from my phone to my PC so I can email them.
First, I have to use a third party app (Google Drive) just because I don't want to carry a lightning cable around with me 24/7 (proprietary)
Then, I have to use WinRar (third party app) because windows cannot open .rar files, and it defaults to every type of .zip because... windows said so. Google drive zips any files you download because... google said so.
Then, I have to use ANOTHER third-party app just to convert them from HEIC, because apple needs another proprietary format that microsoft refuses to add compatibility for.
Who is going to hold these people accountable for making their products less user friendly every year?
