I think monogamy is extinct
Post Body

My childish fantasy of having one loyal and loving partner for life has been slowly fading away to the point I’m forcing myself to just leave it behind in 2024 because all I see nowadays is people afraid of commitment, people cheating and people who just want situationships with as many people as possible so they can feel central and feed their tiny egos ughhhhh never gonna be in a relationship and have the love story I always wanted so sad to kiss goodbye this dream of mine!

Monogamy is not extinct. Commitment through hard times is extinct.

What’s the most difficult is finding someone that has also waited sexually. Which I also don’t think is that big of deal unless both partners waited for each other. Then it’s special, and possibly (no factual evidence to back it up) easier to stay committed. Maybe not. Just a thought.

if you genuinely think this please get off social media as much. i'm serious. i'm 26 and although not happy in my current relationship, i've never questioned the monogamy/loyalty aspect. our friends in the 24-30s age range are almost all in happy, monogamous relationships.
