(I am NOT asking for money. I'm just venting about this)l feel like a terrible person because there is no way in hell I can afford to pay upwards of $1000 for a potential surgery for my cat. She is my baby and I adore her. She's 15 years old and she's been with me since day 1. I would give any amount of money in the world for her if I had it but I just... don't. I don't have much for savings. I'm 21 and live with my parents who aren't well-off either. I just feel like complete shit for not being able to help her if the problems arises. I worry she has a blockage in her intestine. She has a vet appointment on Monday because she hasn't been eating and she's losing a lot of weight, and has vomited hairballs a couple times. Otherwise she is completely normal and looks fine so I'm stressed out completely. I don't know what to do I don't want to lose my baby but I cannot afford thousands of dollars for surgery.
