So, here's short story: I started dating a 21-year-old guy (I was 26), and we eventually moved in together. Everything was going great until I discovered he was just looking for a place to live, so we split. He told me I was a good person and didn't want to hurt me. After a few months, I found out he had relapsed into drug use. His mom asked for my help, and I tried, but he refused any assistance, and it became a complete mess. I even with him to the hospital and saw how bad he was. He even escape from rehab, and I know his relationship with his mom is broken bc of that.
So, around that time, he started dating someone else. Now, over a year later, I saw a video of him with that girl. He looks very skinny, and I just wish him the best, but I feel sorry for him (it seems he is still in drugs). I'm not sure if I should thank him, but since then, I've been single and taking some time for myself. That situation was kinda traumatic and make me realized why I even went to a relationships with him or previous partners.
