There are religions that say that you'll drink hell fire for all eternity if you get an abortion, if you choose to not genitally mutilate your son , daughter or child, or if you get a blood transfusion, if you eat pork or if you celebrate your birthday or whatever. We know that's a load of crap, right? I'm gonna keep it real with y'all and I know I'll have a hard time proving it but I do think that a lot of politicians and people who are extremely rich go out of their way to fund religions cause they know that religions are a system that helps to keep the general population 'easy to manipulate an control'. 'If you got 'em believing the small fairy tales you can get them to believe the big ones' type of thing, right? In my opinion religions have it wrong.

But...

I find it hard to believe that it can't all be for nothing. Like if the people here on Earth now won't harm the assholes who make families in Africa live on like a dollar a day, who restrict housing for the homeless and watch them freeze to death on the streets, then who will slam the hammer of justice onto them? Sure, you can egg a politicians or a tax-evading billionaire's house but there's gotta be more, right?

I just find it hard to believe that I have to give this life meaning when I cant even afford to give it meaning. I have nothing to give it meaning. The suffering, all of it cannot mean nothing.

You cannot make something outta nothing. that is the most important point for me. You just can't make meaning outta nothing when nothing is there.
