We are visiting the city and just exited the basilica of St. Marco and went to the backside where all the gondolieri are.

There we noticed a middle eastern young dude with a magnificent monobrow who was just steolling through the tourists. I looked at him and I think he might have gotten scared so he went along and found an also middle eastern family that greeted him like you would greet a stranger.

Then he nodded at me, showed me the finger and went away...

We decided to watch them for a while and they are constantly strolling around this place with the gondoleri. Is it premature to assume he is a pickpocketer?
