Did I End Up Too Small?

Post Body

Hey everyone, I saw that there is supposed to be a general thread for simple questions but I went back and could not find it. I can definitely delete this an place it there if that is the case.

Anyway, last month I bought a Large Wilier Cento10pro for a chunk of change. I've been riding it fine so far only with a slightly sore lower back on 50km rides. I chalked it up to new more aggro geometry. Recently went to a specialized shop sans bike, and had a conversation with a guy. When I mentioned my bike/size he was surprised and said that my bike must be too tall on my height (186cm).

This obviously sent me on a spiral and I realized that I should have bought one size up for an optimal size. Didn't realize an L was 55.5 CM. My cockpit has a stem that is roughly 13cm, and my seatpost has a setback too. It doesn't feel super small or anything but maybe I'm missing something since I have never sized a road bike this hard. Mostly road whatever track single speed I could get my hands on.

I was going to go pay for a fit, but would hate to spend 300-400 dollars for them to tell me I'm SOL and need to buy a new frame.

I'd appreciate any help, and knowledge as I've been reading too many sizing threads now so decided to throw mine in too.

Edit: I decided to go for a bike fit just to optimize my ride. It's not until March. So until then I think I'm going to stick bodyweight training and yoga until I'm ready for the saddle.
