These subs are plagued with scammers using stolen photos. Here are some red flags that you should go the other way.

  1. Has their account been active for a while. Scammers frequently change accounts often and are more likely to be using relatively new accounts.

  2. Have they been posting in multiple areas advertising? Someone working in LV isn’t likely to be looking to meet people in multiple cities at the same time. People do travel. Posting in different areas at different times is not a cause for concern on its own.

  3. Do they want a deposit upfront. Might not be a scam but it is your risk. If they ask for gift cards, it’s a scam.

  4. Have they been posting in a Karma trading subreddit. They are trying to build up a fresh account. Beware.

  5. Look at their photos very carefully and there may be tell tale signs of concern. I won’t share what I often spot as a dead give away.

  6. As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true….

There are legit people on here but there are even more scams.
