Hi there,
I've seen this claim made a lot (e.g. The Vegan Society and Cowspiracy) and from my own research, it seems to originate from this blog post, but I can't find a good primary source. I know a couple of pages link data from UNICEF, the UN FAO, and so on, so I'm guessing calculations from this data could give the answer, but I don't know how I'd go about doing it myself. Does anyone know if there's another source, or one where someone has explicitly done the calculations?
I'm convinced of the general argument that feeding livestock human-edible grain occurs and is inefficient, it would just be nice to give a proper citation for this particular point if one exists.
Thanks
