Anyone else think that the term "sapience" is almost exclusively used as an ad hoc justification for killing animals?
Post Body
I've heard the sapience argument a few times and it has 100% of the time seemed just like a way to smuggle in some thinly veiled speciesism since, of course, only humans qualify as "sapient". Am I missing something here? Is there anything more to this?
