I found this game while I was digging around my harddrive last night and started itching to play. That's when it occurred to me that it might be fun to do a playthrough with y'all on here. So, here's what's up:
NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS, NO HUNTING, NO FISHING, FINAL DESTINATION: It's the 5th edition so I can choose precisely what sort of food and supplies we get to bring along, and we can forage for edible plants along the way. Unfortunately we still need some sort of draft animals to pull the wagon, because we're all too weak from protein deficiency to pull it ourselves, but that should fall under the 'possible and practicable' clause, right? Let's pretend it does.
I can have up to 6 people in the party, so the first five people to volunteer get a character named after their username. If I don't get five volunteers I'll pick some random names to fill in the gaps.
We need to decide whether we're going to establish our new vegan commune in Oregon City, Sacramento, the Rogue River Valley, or Salt Lake City. So cast your votes!
It's a pain trying to get everyone here at the same time for a livestream or something, so I'll liveblog the events in the game unless there's sufficient interest in recording the gameplay or something. (I ain't talking on mic though, no way no how. I sound like a nasally 12 year old. :C)
Here's hoping this is actually entertaining and not just a big lame waste of time! I look forward to seeing us all fall down a mountain on the last mile of the journey and fracture all our bones from b12 deficiency. Or die of snakebite after trying to befriend the local rattlesnake population. Or, y'know, good ol' dysentery.
