Dear Cruelty Free Brands,
No, I do not want my product full of poorly researched plant extracts just because they are "natural".
No, I do not want my product highly fragranced with photo-sensitizing oils.
No, I do not want my product packaged in a jar where bacterial contamination is almost certain!
No, I do not want my product to be three times the price of an equivalent non-vegan product???
I just want it to work :'(
I just want it to be based on research.
I just want it to be simple, and fairly priced, with effective ingredients at the right formulations!
I don't care about packaging, I don't need leaves and "natural" looking expensive labels. I just want it to be sanitary.
I have sensitive skin. I don't want to constantly be making concessions like "I know this has some fragrance but I love the rest of the ingredients, maybe it will work for me"... I have spent so much money and time on researching products. I just want something simple, cheap, and reliable that doesn't harm any animals.
Also, I have acne rosacea, and anything that seems geared toward sensitive and dry skin that doesn't contain fragrance and irritants seems to have highly comedogenic ingredients (coconut oil, isopropyl palmitate, ethylhexyl palmitate, isopropyl myristate).
I swear to god it must not be this hard to make effective products. I think I'm going to have to start DIY-ing at this stage.
Sorry for the rant y'all I've had a coffee and I'm just fed up.
Peace.
PS. I rely on Logical Harmony's list of Cruelty Free brands, so I don't use TO, companies owned by pharmaceutical parent companies (Vanicream), etc. Maybe I'm making it hard on myself but it just seems absurd to make concessions when a few years ago I didn't use any skin care products at all.
