Hi I'm a software developer by trade( devunstuck.com/ ).Proposing we create a "wrapper" or intermediary, that aggregates data (public & private) from existing vegan websites and apps, and ties together events, donation, and volunteering opportunities in a cohesive way into a single portal and directory.

• Overall Goal:
  • Make it extremely simple for vegan activists to find, subscribe, and donate to volunteer opportunities.
• High-Level Concept:
  • Create a "wrapper" or intermediary platform to aggregate data from activism website apps.
  • Integrate events, donation, and volunteering opportunities.
  • Present information in a single portal and directory.
• User Perspective:
  • From a visitor’s perspective, most or all avenues for activism would be readily available.
• Challenges:
  • Many vegan/volunteer run sites might not have neatly formatted data or user settings.
  • Lack of API exposure for easy data aggregation and consolidation.
• Platform Nature:
  • The platform is not a separate organization.
  • Similar in role to how Google operates, but focused on activism.
• Abstraction Approach:
  • Abstract away specifics such as host organization, location, etc.
  • Ensure meaningful participation without unnecessary details.
• Technology Goals:
  • Leverage technologies used in ride-share, donation platforms, etc.
  • Aim to centralize data into a single platform for user convenience.
• Development Status:
  • Still formulating the idea
  • Posting for help in guiding thoughts and refining the concept.
