how do you find/communicate your activism in your city? (big cities mostly)

Hi! I'm in a big city, and there are several vegan activist groups working. Some are big, some are small, but they are all working on their own. There's no easy way to know their events. Also, if you are new to the city, it's even more difficult. How do you solve this in your cities? I miss the Facebook days with groups and events; it was easier. But nobody uses Facebook around here anymore.
