I'm just posting this to vent. I don't even know if it's appropriate to share something like this here. If it is not, I'm sorry, but it has to be stated SOMEWHERE. As of writing this text, 1 U.S dollar equates to 15 Turkish liras. I repeat: ONE dollar equates to FIFTEEN liras. This is utterly insane! We can't live like this! SOMEONE PLEASE SAVE US! Look, I know we've done some bad shit in the past. Our state has probably killed a lot of innocent people, but nobody deserves this. We can't even afford our basic needs anymore. Covid denialism and refusal to get vaccinated have become the norm in the country, they're literally, unironically trying to invent Newspeak, and it just feels like the entire place is being runned by Steven Crowder or something. I know it's a very random fucking post, but I just wanted to be heard and\or seen by some foreigners. I feel so sad, to the point that Reddit has become a platform where I doomer-rant whenever I feel pessimistic. Seeing my people suffer so intensely and needlessly just aches my heart...
