I struggle to find anything that leftism proscribes for lifestyle habits that isn't out of reach for anyone who is poor or working class. Any company or brand that caters to environmental consciousness or social justice is way more expensive than the regular brands, and it makes it feel like leftist lifestyles are just another form of elitism to make poor people feel bad. It's worse than the usual conservative elitism though, because there's a moral component to it where you're shamed if you don't contribute to these leftist companies that honestly amount to no more than cynical cash grabs sucking up money from concerned liberals. I'm sorry if I'm so broke that I have to buy my groceries from Walmart, buy my clothes from Amazon, and can't afford to live in a walkable neighborhood and give up my gas powered car. I would like to support left-leaning businesses, but not when their products sell at premium prices. I'm gonna buy the $3 store brand ice cream instead of the $6 Ben & Jerry's, sorry. I remember being shamed by a fellow femboy for not buying my clothes in a "sustainable" way - well I'm sorry if I can't afford $50-$100 for every single fucking article of clothing, a shirt should only cost like $5 imo but even the cheap stuff is $20 minimum.
When were working class people shut out of participating in leftism and why is it so that you have to be rich in order to have a leftist lifestyle?
