I don't know if you cared about Turkish politics enough to follow what's happened after the last elections, but it's been recently exposed that the main opposition parties, including the CHP, were stationed where they are and directly shaped by Erdogan, to create the illusion there's a real prospect of democratic change. And this was begun to be done in 2014. Every time the opposition had a chance get the upper hand, someone on the inside sabotaged it. That's why Kılıçdaroğlu was picked as the presidential candidate, because he was the only person who could lose against Erdogan. Everything was preplanned, there was no tension. No serious conflict of interests, no sign of concern and despair by either side was genuine. I thought we were better than Russia in that respect, but I guess I was wrong...

I can't stress how frustrating all of this is.. To know that everything I believed for the past ten years was a lie. Every struggle was futile, every attempt to organize and make a change was in vain... But why am I telling you all this? Because I want my American Comrades to get their shit together. If you allow the Republican Party win in 2024, you will become just like us. Your democracy will DIE. You think America sucks now? Wait until it turns into an autocracy and gains full control over the judicial system. Trans rights? More like trans dies. You believe Only Fans is a safe platform for sex workers that prioritizes their mental and physical health? Well, say b-bye to good ol' OF, 'cause porn is haram. You care about secularism? Good news! The school curriculum will be exclusively designed to teach your kids that Jesus Christ of Nazareth didn't die so the black gays can fuck "drag queens" in the glorious land of God that is the United States. You value worker unions? You will love it when they outlaw the basic right to assembly!

None of this will be easy to do away with, by the way. The same way you can't vote in socialism, you can't vote out fascism. The only thing that can defeat fascism in power is brute force, but countless people die until the population is willing to take up arms against the state... So wake up! Do what is necessary! Don't throw away your one vote by going for the third parties! Don't not vote! VOTE FOR YOUR LIFE!!!
