Halo Triton Not Working?

I'm having an odd situation. Yesterday, went into a shop where a buddy of mine works and was gifted some brand new equipment to get me started. Among this was a Halo Triton starter kit.
Eventually, my battery died. So, I charged it up. Unfortunately, when I screwed it back into my tank, I get a flashing light after trying to hit from it and don't hear the familiar crackle of the wick. Can anyone help?
Tldr: noob with a Triton and it won't hit after charging battery.
