Burnt taste in a brand new Vaporesso Tarot Nano

Hey all, I'm new to this. I bought this brand new on Tuesday night. I bought liquid with it that I hated. I had it at like 35w. When I disliked the liquid, I turned it up to 50w to burn through the liquid. Now I have a new liquid that I love. It tasted fine for a day or two, but now I get this disgusting burnt taste sometimes when I use it. The wattage is back down to 35. I've only had it 4 days now, what am I doing wrong?

my girlfriend has a completely different vape. She's had it for a month. Same liquid. Tastes fine. So I'm lost. Thanks in advance.
