I remember Charli saying something to lala about growing up in a rough area being from Barstow. I had never really heard of Barstow so I took a deep dive and apparently it’s pretty scary. Like you don’t want to break down at night there scary. I would love to have heard more about Charli’s experiences because it sounds like she has had a pretty interesting life (compared to everyone else on VPR being from middle class suburbia). I don’t know, just a passing thought that I think Charli had a lot more to offer than she was able to.
I went to school with charli, I could see how people might downplay it like she was exaggerating but it really is that crazy there. I only come home to visit in short spurts a couple times a year and I always see some bullshit.
Trust me, NO ONE claims to be from Barstow for Clout. She was the year ahead of me in HS and so I had her in a couple of classes during my sophomore and junior years.
I didn’t hang out with her since we didn’t get along, not that it’s your business nor am I here to talk shit. I have no idea what she’s like now but enjoyed her on VPR and I wish her well.

lol if that’s what you call defensive. I’m just trying to be diplomatic. I see no reason to be on here making claims about her behavior at 16/17 yrs old to the sub. Hence I only made my comment to substantiate her claim of being from the hood. Not sure what your deal is but maybe you can write about it later in your diary.✌️
