NOTE FROM OP- hey guys- thanks for your concern. FYI he is crated in highway speeds but on backroads at 30 mph with ZERO TRAFFIC, I allow him free reign. He is also a cat, they are much better at just gripping things. In 3 years we have had zero issues and this is ALSO a westfalia... our top speed is 55 so the chance of ever rear ending anyone is nearly impossible as I cannot even keep up on highway speeds ๐ It would be SUPER HARD to have hit anything in this moment... and I am heads up- no accidents ever, international license, driven all over the world. So appreciate your concern for the babe but we have our safety regulations!
This was in Florida driving into Cape Canaveral National Seashore!
He is easy to see over as you can see. This was a 30 mph backroad also in a flat Florida national park with no one around so if there was a safe moment to document the hilarity, this was it ๐๐คทโโ๏ธ
Chill. I am 33 YO with no accidents and driven all over the world. This was a backroad at 30 mph and I can clearly see over him and it was a funny time to document. Normally I throw him to the back if it's a bad time and when I'm in busy traffic and stop and go he is safely in his crate.

Yea if I had a small dog for suuuure. I think cats are much more nimble. Plus this van goes very slow and there is no one on these back roads.
