So I know most of us are having a great time snowballing with the eggs, but some people have reached so many eggs that now that steamrolling has turned these characters into almost unplayable, from a “playing” perspective. You’re just loading the level with little interaction while the screen looks like an overactive screen saver with nothing to gain from the time invested.
With the recent iteration of turning eggs off before you start a level, you get back to that interaction during a level, making meaningful item choices, avoiding certain situations during the stage, etc. However I feel that this is a bandaid and over correction on a problem with the eggs. Incremental progress from the eggs feels good, but getting too many eggs hurts the overall experience in the long run. With the egg lock you get back to that enjoyment, but at the cost of progression.
How does the community feel about eggs being capped?
Or maybe stat caps, and once that cap is reached you no longer receive boost to that stat?
Locking stats so you don’t receive any egg progress in that stat? (Morrabbio for example)
Selling your stats back for half price (5,000) or something.
Any combination of these I feel would do wonders for the longevity of this game. Currently I feel like with the egg system it’s struggle without eggs (turned off), or use a character you enjoy with eggs until the experience is hindered.
