Map glitches?

I tried to find a post already but I wasn't able to.
Currently playing as Trouser on Mt. Moonspell knocking out the kappa kill unlock. I'm not sure the exact egg count but it's probably roughly 9-10k
I haven't hit the 25k threshold to take away the movement speed yet and I was able to move past the walls, trees etc to get all of the unlocks without using the paths through the mountains.
Is this intended or did I just glitch out? First time using this character on this map
