Post Body

Hello, first time crab owner here! I have a 5 gallon enclosure with 2 approx. 3.5-4cm leg- span red apple crabs. I only just had them delivered yesterday, and after putting them in the enclosure I was able to observe them for about 2 hours, after which they disappeared. I put food out for them just as it was getting dark, but now 24 hours later they still haven't touched it. I tried placing some new food in there a couple hours ago (apples) but I don't know how that will go tonight.

My question is essentially, is there something I'm missing? I figure the stress of being shipped and having a new habitat is causing them to cower in their hide holes, but I'm worried about them. Is this normal for new crabs? I know it's only been a day, so I may well be waaaay over reacting.

Humidity is at 85%, temp is 25C.
