I was wondering if someone might have some suggestions on why i see video errors while sitting on the home screen?

Below is a link to a recording of the perfomance window while sitting on the home screen.

This is a brand new Index.
I have an i9-11900k and a 3080 with 64gb of 3200mhz ram, and a samsung 980 pro. CPU/GPU show low utilization and this will still happen. It does seem to result in occasional stutters in games like beat saber. Not terribly bad, but enough to ruin the experience for high paced games. I suspect this is related to windows 11, but i was someone might be able to give me some suggestions.

Things i have done:

  • Yesterday i reinstalled the OS, clean, all drivers up to date and device managers is all happy. This is not a new thing for me and i am confident in the OS being installed correctly with all drivers. Not my first rodeo is all im saying.
  • i have seen suggestions of making sure the steam window (not the VR window) is the active app and this doesnt seem to make a difference. Even tried the VR window and increased cpu prioritizaion for testing purposes.
  • I am using the latest nvidia driver. I used DDU prior to the OS reinstall but of course with the reinstall i just made sure the video driver was installed immediatley after the system drivers. All while disconnected from the internet. I downloaded all drivers prior to wiping the OS and had them on a usb key for immediate install.

All system temps are great as its a wall mounted open air build.
The machine seems to run great other than this. I have not found issues in other non-vr games but i dont play a lot of fast paced games, more a factorio kind of player. Im not a huge gamer, the machine is built for work use, but as i work at home, its makes a great game machine. Also, at this point, im on vacation and no work software has been installed. I do not join a domain or anything like that, the work software consists of video related stuff that is not running in any way when this happened prior to the OS reinstall and has not been installed since the reinstall.

Im willing to switch back to windows 10 if needed, but i would really rather make windows 11 work.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
