Randomly stop tacking, terribly

So recently I have been playing index and randomly I would disconnect and stop tracking getting the grey screen and everything would stick to the screen.

I tried updating everything, which hasn't fixed anything. The only thing that comes to mind that worries me, is I found out that the "sleep" function doesn't stop the motor (or I didn't set that up) so it went periods of just running without using it, and I have been recently unplugging the base stations to help with that worry issue.

I was wounder proper "Storage" technique and if this is an issue I can fix or the actions I need to take
