Tips to Improve Your Aiming in Valorant
Post Body

Hey there, today I wanted to create a short little guide on how you can practice your aim within Valorant. I will break this up into 8 tips I believe are essential to over time improving your aim. If you'd like to watch a less than 3 minute video on these tips, go to this link! https://youtu.be/3N2y21cqUJs

1. Obtain A Good Sensitivity- Good is very subjective. As good for an individual might not be good for another. I recommend testing out several sensitivities all on the lower end of the spectrum, as in FPS games micro adjustments are in every single gunfight you will encounter. Having a slower sensitivity will give you more control over where your crosshair is placed. I know that some people are able to play with HIGH sensitivity, but overall beginner players or the average player slower is better. Make sure it's not too slow, where you can't even do a 180!

2. Warmup- As all of you know, no matter what you do warming up is always going to increase your overall performance. For those who have played sports, you should always do a warmup before getting into practice or a game, or anything! Video games are no different, before hopping into a game of Valorant warm up your mechanics, such as your aim, movement, and your brain! Go into a practice tool and practice against some hard bots, or do a popup of 100 bots strafing for at least 30 minutes, and I guarantee you will see your play improve!

3. Crosshair Customization- Valorant has made it incredibly easy to change your crosshair, go into your settings and you can visually see your crosshair as well as modify it. This is an important step as your crosshair is what you use to aim.. (obviously) If it's to big, well you won't be able to see an opponents head, or miss them peeking a corner, if it's too small... well you won't be able to see your crosshair. I recommend using Professional Crosshairs as a guideline to what you would like to use.

4. Crosshair Placement- Different from your actual crosshair, this is where you rest your crosshair when doing all of your functions within Valorant. I challenge you to actually cognitively think about where your crosshair is located, and self correct yourself to level your crosshair with an opponents head, this is a topic you should watch countless videos on and practice every time you play, as even professionals still improve on this topic!

5. Arm and Wrist Movement- Arm and wrist movement is pretty self explanatory, this is the way your bio mechanics work with the game. IE when you flick you're using a slight wrist adjustment, whereas if you are tracing you are using more of an arm movement. You need to practice the bio mechanics of your body in relation to the game, and develop muscle memory with your preferred sensitivity.

6. Crouching / Movement- You need to understand the correct way to move within Valorant. May it be Crouching, Walking, or Running. This is something that overtime you will improve in. What i've seen a lot within this game, is people crouching for no good reason. Crouching reduces your movement, and gives you a much wider silhouette to hit in a gunfight. As well, in lower level play people arn't always aiming for your head, so crouching won't necessarily bait them into missing a headshot, but will give them a free easy self-correcting shot right at your dome.

7. Spray Control- This is a no brainer, learn how the weapons you love using spray. Spray is not the same within Valorant as it was within CSGO. There isn't a static spray pattern for each weapon, the spray is more hidden within the movement of the gun, which requires you to notice which way your gun is shifting!

8. Wrist / Finger Excercises- This is something hardly anyone talks about. Where it might not directly affect your overall aim. It will save your wrists and fingers from getting carpal tunnel. Which plagues many more gamers than you might think. Also it will give your wrist and fingers a better range of movement which can indirectly help you with your overall aim!

Leave in the comments anything else I should've added to this guide, or what you think helps you!
