why am i getting a technical certificate instead of a degree in science for graduation?

Hey guys I have a question why am i receiving a technical certificate for graduation instead of an Associates in science degree I've met all of my requirements for my degree? My application for graduation was also accepted and I received my technical certificate in janauray.
