How long did it take to feel a change?

I was on Lexapro for a few months with a slight impact but didn’t do much for me. I also gained 8kg on lexapro. My psych put me on Valdoxan 25mg and it’s been 3 weeks and I’m back to crying everyday and I feel worse than ever. I realised Lexapro probably numbed me a little bit and now I feel like I’m on nothing. How much longer till I’m going to feel better? I’m crying all the time and barely functioning. How long did it take for you to notice a difference? I know it can take a few months to be in full effect but I thought by 3 weeks I would feel some benefit.
