vacuum comparison / miele vs Numatics

HI FRIENDS!

I’ve lurked for a while and went against popular advice (and chose my mom’s advice) to get a Bissell lift-off. It cracked the first day! That’ll teach me.

Now I need a vacuum of dreams BIFL situation because I am NOT doing this again.

At present, I am choosing between:

a Miele complete C3 (non-electric floorbrush) —- on sale for $499 cad, a smokin’ deal, I think? But Mieles are very confusing link here: https://www.mchardyvac.com/miele-complete-c3-limited-edition-canister-vacuum-41gde040cdn/

The Numatic James —- priced at 399, the most affordable and solid option.

The Numatic Henry compact —- At $470, it’s the highest priced numatic option I will go for. I am wondering if the smaller size and cord winder make the price jump worth it, since I am buying for life

I have an asthmatic cat, a small apartment I will never leave (rent control), not a ton of cash, all-tile flooring with one big wool shag rug (that I realistically will have to clean with a couch brush or crevice tool.. she is THICK). I also find it such a struggle to vacuum and much prefer sweeping. But those days are over! Thanks, cat asthma.

Please advise! Is the compact worth the price jump? Is this a miele that will actually last? Is there an obvious stand out in this crowd??????

Thanks in advance!
