Looking at the Makita sticks, anything similar that's good and not "disposable"

Post Body

In need of a new vacuum cleaner and I really like the idea of a stick vacuum. I've had a canister and an upright before and I just feel like the stick is the easiest to use and to store. I know the cordless vacuums don't have the same power as the corded, but I think I'm going to go with cordless just for simplicity. I like that the Makita is very basic and that it turns into a handheld easily, but I'm wondering if the suction is good enough. It has a ton of good Amazon reviews but those are very hard to trust these days. Is the Makita a decent choice? If not, is there a similar vacuum? I don't really need all the bills and whistles as long as it has good pickup power.
