A quote from Pokémon should say it all, “If there is someone in this world who understands you, it feels like that person is right beside you. Even if you’re as far apart as the end of the land and top of the sky.”

When it comes to VRChat, it can help people like myself, who don’t have a lot (if any) IRL friends. It can be important, as it can lead to so many prosperous friendships and connections between people, it can even lead to romantic relationships.

It can also be a way for people to disconnect from reality when they need to do so or even help people discover who they are as a person. It can help by allowing you to become anything you could ever want: A furry, meme, anime girl — You name it, it’s possible. Many people have found out they were another gender because of this game or found out that they were into another gender or multiple genders.

I know it has certainly helped me discover who I am and discover that I’m Transgender (MtF). It has helped me discover true and genuine friends (or allowed me to grow closer to some of my other online friends) as seen in the photos above. Some of the photos were taken before I came out as Transgender, the first two are after I did.
