New to VR, so what's good?

Like I said in the title, I am very new here but I've seen too many people do VR and talk about it and I would like to join in the fun. I would like to know what would be the best bang for my buck while being an amazing headset. I don't have a gaming PC , I have a simple laptop. I was contemplating on getting the Quest 2 but I'm a little hesitant. In your experience VR headsets which one would be a good fit for me?
