I bought the yearly $29.99 subscription in Sept 2019. In March after the pandemic hit, they offered a 3 year deal and I took it. Then this past Sept 1st, the auto renewal kicked in and took out another $29.99. I emailed them and asked them to reverse the charge since I already have 3 years. They said NO!!!

Hello,
As we can see your payment is not covered by our refund policy, so, unfortunately, our Accounting Department won't be able to refund it.
According to our End User Agreement (part 3. Fees and refund policy):
"KeepSolid offers a refund for a period of thirty (30) days after your initiation of a Service subscription for all subscriptions of KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Service.
For clarity: (i) for non-recurring subscriptions of KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Service, we also offer a refund for a period of thirty (30) days after you subscribe for the particular KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Service subscription (and pay the applicable Fee); and (ii) for recurring subscriptions of KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Service, we offer a refund for a period of thirty (30) days after you first subscribe for the particular recurring KeepSolid VPN Unlimited Service subscription (and pay the applicable recurring Fee for the first time). This means that any and all subsequent payments of a recurring subscription Fee are not eligible for a refund.
What it means is that I could only cancel 30 days after I purchased it. So Oct of 2019?
Why do they have that stipulation? That only makes sense for monthly billing not yearly. Part of the 3 year deal took into account if the company went bankrupt. I would be out the 3 years.
I hate when companies think they can just keep our money because they wrote some lines in the fine print, and dug it where they know we will not read it. Most companies would give you your money back in this case.
So be weary. Their return policy is not clear on yearly subscriptions.
