Please bear in mind, I have only the slightest clue about VPN (i.e., it can be a workaround for firewalls). If I mis-state something, please forgive me.
My question/wish: I just want to stream music at work without sucking up all the data from my cell provider. I have no devious plans & I'm not wanting to waste time or steal productivity with hours of internet surfing while I should be working. Just want some tunes in the background, but my employer's firewall blocks Spotify & YouTube.
Is there a way around this (and, if so, please describe in the simplest of details, preferably with simple crayon drawings even a moron like me could follow)?
I assume if I can't even get to YouTube, then the network admin also wouldn't allow installation of a program, so can a VPN be run from a thumb drive?
Thanks.
