So as I said in my earlier post, I'm setting up a VoIP for Winthrop's Whimsies (thanks for the orders btw, we're cooking them up now!), but before I get in over my head, I'd like to get a check on my plans...
I'm going with VoIP.ms for my provider. My number is in progress for porting now, should be ready sometime next week.
What we're planning is a self-hosted PBX with 2-3 extensions (eventually).
Extension 1: Rings a softphone on our cellphones (using the Acrobits Softphone app). Is that possible or even feasible? Will it work if we're out and about, or will it only work when we're within wifi range? For that matter, would it be difficult to set it up as a rollover, so if I don't answer right away, it rolls over to my partner's phone, and then if she doesn't answer have it roll over to voicemail?
Extensions 2-3 would be auto-responder type things, giving store hours, directions, etc.
As for the PBX, I'm seriously considering Incredible PBX on a Raspberry Pi. Good idea, or is there a better solution?
Thanks again!
