I just wanted to quickly put down my thoughts here in a Reddit post for the VITURE team. I want to do a bigger, more in depth review as a disabled user after I get to use these glasses and neckband a bit more, but I have to ask that the team keep working on the Pin Screen feature which is in Beta. This feature is incredibly important to me.
I have a neuromuscular condition which means I have extreme muscle weakness. For many years, I remember doctors asking me to follow their little pen light or their fingertip with my eyes, and hearing them say that my eye muscles were pretty weak, meaning I couldn't turn or roll my eyes very far. In application, I never really noticed this issue, probably because I just got used to turning or tilting my head to see.
I definitely noticed it right away when putting on the VITURE glasses with the neckband. Originally, I shrunk the size of the screen down so it fit in the center of my vision and I could see all the edges of the screen, but then I realized how small it seemed. I found the Pin Screen Beta feature and I restored the screen size to default and turned it on, and my issue was resolved! I could simply turn/tilt my head and then I had the full 120" screen effect. It was like sitting front row at the theatre. Very amazing!
Currently with my testing, most of the time the Pin feature works in the main UI menus, and YouTube, although sometimes it misbehaves and instead of panning the vision, it will stretch and skew the image until you turn it off and turn it back on again.
For Netflix, the Headgaze mouse pointer likes to take over, so the pin feature doesn't work.
For the PSPlay app to remote play my PS5, it likes to bug out completely and stretch, skew, distort and flash, and is very disorienting until you can manage to back out.
So please, continue to work on the Pin Screen feature, as it is incredibly important to me, and will be for others I am sure. It would be cool if Pin Screen and Headgaze mouse pointer could work together too, although for Netflix, the pointer popping in and out of the screen was a bit distracting while streaming a series or movie.
Thanks for taking the time to read
