After 4 years Suzie is dead :( RIP HDX900P
Post Body

Suzie my trusty HDX900P that I lugged all over the east coast shooting mountain bike races with, loaded her last tape this morning :(

I was going to take a drive out to a lake near my house and shoot some scenics. Before I left the house I loaded a tape, and some odd clicking sounds followed by an error light. Tape wouldn't eject, nor would the manual override. I tried for a good 30 minutes before I gave up. Well that sucks. I managed to take off the side cover and literally force the tape out. I didn't see any damage, but I think shes dead :(

I'm not a professional videographer, I'm a MTB racer myself who happens to shoot video for some of my friends who race as well. I don't make money on anything, but I still want to shoot with this camera if possible. Can I hook up an AJA, BMD or Nanoflash to the SDI port to record externally? If so what I do I need to do this? I know I can get a new camera, but I already have this one and I I know the difference between CCDs and CMOS and I want to stay CCD for the fast pans. I also shoot 720p/60 almost all the time.

Any help would be appreciated

-Jess
