Terastallized Pokemon keep original STAB boosts

Post Body

As discussed just after 10:10 in this review:

https://youtu.be/Enu-OoIfTc0

Even if Pokemon change and lose their types due to Terastallization, they keep the damage boosts from STAB for their original types

So a Tera Ice Regieleki, for example, would have Ice type Tera Blast (presumably with some sort of damage bonus from being Terastallized) along with STAB Electric moves.

How does this change your concept of the possible applications for Terastallizing in battle?

UPDATE: here's another review corroborating this discovery:

Having trouble finding a source, so maybe I'm misremembering, but logically it doesn't make sense. It's been possible to get 3 STABs through means like forests curse due to an extra typing, or dhelmise, but that's worded as a boost to steel moves, equivalent to STAB, but not classified as STAB. A "Same type attack bonus" doesn't make sense if they no longer have that type. I think I'm mostly skeptical because this is from a single reviewer, and nothing can reaffirm it

Fairly certain this is a mistranslation/misunderstanding from the early review. This is based on one reviewer quoting a representative, when other official news seems to contradict it. Not to mention this would just not be balanced at all. I'm assuming this is false until proven otherwise
