Hello, looking for help with my terrakion team before Pc3. Also apologies for formatting on mobile and thinking about this team while at work.
Decided for Players cup I wanted to try bring terrakion back from season 5/6 as I never had access to him during those seasons and he also looks real good to deal with series 7 threats especially at 3.
Terrakion is the main dynamax option lead with whimsicott you get the classic terracotta core and it ohkos most threats in the meta. Standard eV set currently assault vest but been coping and changing between life Orb and AV. Protect is help of course but in dmax you can really stack up buffs with access to quake and steelspike.
Whimsicott is here for speed control set up terrakion and energy ball to deal with water threats nothing to report here. Originally it had taunt to stop trickroom but had issues with fake out rendering the sash useless or redirection protecting the tr setter.
Thundurus this is a choice band varient I've been thinking about while working this morning. With incineroar being so common having a Defiant or competitive Mon to counter it is ideal and I've been using thundurus with a lot of success in other teams. With this team being built around a big dmax terrakion thought a banded thunderus with slightly weaker phisical moves but no recoil on wild charge. Brick Break is for screens.
Tapu lele added after testing to have terrain control and stop priority moves like fake out messing up my setup. Rillaboom was always a massive pain for my initial team but as most builds are reliant on the terrain hopefully this helps
Mesprit was picked to stop trickroom also adds ice coverage and expanding force spam. The set is stolen from pokesports and with the berry lives a banded wicked blow from urshifu.
Gengar was added mainly because its my favourite pokemon and just caught a shiny haunter in raids. But it does give nice checks to fairy and grass types as well as fast will o wisps to deal with the plethora of p
Thinking of replacing with gengar with naganadel and use it as a glass cannon with a modest nature to get the sp Atk beast boost. This would give me fire covergage as well as steel types could wall my team
If you've got this far thank you and any help is appreciated
