I have been playing Pokémon since I was a kid but never got into the competitive side. I’ve played Pokémon showdown a little bit a few years ago. And on there I only ever played the smogon tiers. One question I have is those tiers are completely different then VGC? Correct? Another question I have is I’m not a big fan of double battling. And I’m trying to get better. Does anyone have any tips for someone new to double battles. This game is so fun and I wanna learn and get better. And I watch lots of YouTube videos. Also does anyone have a good starter team?
If you want to browse good rental teams, I'd look up the recent regionals. Many of them have rental codes for the top teams, and can be a good starting point. This is from the Malmo regionals a few days ago, so up to date, and very strong teams.
If you're going to be building your own teams I recommend pikalytics which gives great information on movesets, items, stat spread, teammates, etc.
