G-max machamp adds g-max chi strike to his arsenal, which increases the chances of critical hits. Normally 1 to critical chance is not significant (12.5%), but super luck togekiss with scope lens suddenly has 100% crit chance. Additionally, if g-max chi strike is used twice it allows togekiss to run weakness policy for an additional damage boost.
On top of this, crits ignore screens. A better chance to ignore screens with g-max resonance so popular right now is pretty appealing.
All good points. I was thinking that with weakness policy & 100% crit chance togekiss could invest more into bulk and care less about speed, but togekiss really does benefit more from being dynamaxed.
The idea originally stemmed from fling lansat berry onto togekiss, but togekiss can still dynamax in that situation
I don't have one to test, but every single d-max moves secondary effects have affected all opponents/allies, so I think it's safe to assume it would affect your other Pokemon as well
Yeah keeping the 90-100 BP and just poisoning opponents instead of boosting your SpA is pretty bad. If it badly poisoned that'd be worth the reduction in power
Bulky togekiss can take quite a lot, but most teams now have a togekiss check. It's fun experimenting but might be tricky to really benefit from g-max Chi strike

It does replace max knuckle. I don't see max knuckle used that often since it's only BP 90, even with the attack boost, but maybe I'm just playing the wrong teams.
He is currently illegal, but he and gengar are the two current event raid Pokemon so he'll be legal in the near future
