Why can’t I Tera in battle stadium

Recently bought scarlet and tried to do battle stadium singles ranked battle but I soon realised there’s not Tera button. I rented a team with Tera types and I am unsure why I can’t Tera. It could be because I just started the game and Tera isn’t unlocked (even in ranked battles?)
