I'm currently active but a life member of a post where I plan to retire. Myself and two others are the only members of 80 that are under 60! One of those I recruited. I want to attract the younger generation and continue to build. Without a building, a place for them to escape to from everyday stressors, relax, and continue the comradery that we all miss once leaving, I feel some feel it's not worth it. What are some ways yall have procured a building? What are different ways you've brought revenue in besides the bar? I've thought about purchasing the building myself and placing pool tables and vending machines in there. The post can purchase supplies and between that and poppy drives, they should be able to afford just the mortgage. We do share a building with the UMWA and others, however we only occupy it for an hour 1 day a month. Thanks
