If you wrote a Windows daemon that had a connection over a port to a Linux daemon that synced a folder containing a user-tailored list of Windows shortcuts that, when run from the linux side, were commands to the linux daemon to tell the Windows daemon to open said app and set up a corresponding Looking Glass session to open on the Linux side (as well as any other dialogs or windows, essentially wrapping the windowing system with Looking Glass) it seems to me that you could theoretically run Windows apps seamlessly from Linux without ever actually touching Windows. Has anyone tried something like this?
