THE STATE OF THE GAME: How the game should be balanced

Currently, VALORANT is in a definitive period of time—the games identity is getting more clearer and distancing itself from its contemporaries into something of its own. Despite that, like all games, it has issues with balancing. I write this post specifically to kickstart discussions upon the balance of the game to flourish its meta diversity, you are allowed to disagree and refute.

Metric of balancing

For each roles there are certain agents I believe that rests on the goldilocks zone—they requires no nerfs or buffs to them. (Skye, Raze, Killjoy, Brimstone). I list down the agents per agent role from strongest to weakest. (ex: for Initiators, Sova is the strongest and Breach is the weakest)

If there are questions to my decisions please do ask because I cannot articulate each decisions individually in this post or else it will be too long

Initiator

Sova - Owl Drone deactivates once it has tagged a player

KAYO - FLASH/drive sound increased - NULL/cmd disabled once downed

Skye

Breach - Flashpoint increased to 3 - Flashpoint projectile speed increased - Concussion weapon inaccuracy increased

Duelist

Jett - Tailwind can only be casted forward - Drift only lasts 2 seconds - Cloudburst decreased to 1

Raze

Neon - Overdrive's damage multiplies for close-range - Concussion weapon inaccuracy increased

Reyna - Leer windup removed and is casted instantaneously - Leer blacks-out enemies at close-range for 1 second - Leer range increased

Yoru - You can place a passive Fakeout that you can activate - Gatecrash teleport duration decreased - Gatecrash health decreased to 50hp - Dimensional Drift cast delay decreased - Dimensional Drift unequip decreased to 1 second

Phoenix - Blaze and Hot Hands now gives the Enflame effect after crossing - Enflame buffs Phoenix with additional 50hp (if Phoenix has 150hp, his health will increase to 200hp) for 5 seconds - Enflame decays enemies health at the rate of 5hp/s for 5 seconds - Curveball flash duration increased - You can now cancel Run It Back - Run It Back activates Enflame buff upon activation and after cancelation for 5 seconds

Sentinel

Chamber - Trademark is no longer global and has the same radius as an Alarm Bot

Killjoy

Cypher - Trapwire now has lower distance of movement for enemies when tethered

Sage - Healing Orb now heals to 100 - Barrier Orb decreased to 300 - Barrier Orb range increased and can be casted before Buy Phase

Controller

Brimstone

Omen - Shrouded Step range increased

Astra - Star Count increased to 5 - Gravity Well cooldown decreased - Nova Pulse cooldown decreased - Concussion weapon inaccuracy increased

Viper - Instant decay decreased - Snakebites duration decreased but decays full health - Poison Cloud cooldown decreased - Toxic Screen cooldown decreased - Fuel drain when both Toxic Screen and Poison Cloud are activated decreased
