Recently I noticed my ping had dropped to 25. Going from 70-45 was game changing (had to use a VPN to do so) and then down to 35 (Dallas servers added), which was nice because I no longer had to use a VPN.
Eventually it hit 25 recently (Atlanta and Miami servers made available from what I hear) which made it possible to actually be consistent and use the Op etc. It's like playing a different game at 25 ping.
However, today I started to get packet loss much like I did back in the day during beta. Just as in beta, restarting the client would fix the issue. I am now noticing I'm no longer getting 25 ping and I'm back up to 35 as if now I'm routing back through Dallas again, rather than Atlanta or Miami. I just played a game solo q with 70 ping, it was unbearable.
I'm starting to get flashbacks of how bad things were with packet loss and high ping. The packet loss was pinpointed to a server in Texas and was eventually fixed, however, the packet loss is back and ping is back up high again.
What the heck is going on?
EDIT: Ping numbers are based off of being in the range as range ping is as low as it will go compared to in-game due to trash tier matchmaking etc.
