Dear Uzbek redditors,
I’m currently writing my M.A. thesis on the alphabet reforms of Central Asia, and would like to find respondents from Uzbekistan. I already have many Kazakh respondents and they’ve told me interesting things about the script situation in their country, but I’d like to know more about Uzbekistan, as I think the mixed use of Latin and Cyrillic there is even more interesting.
Would you happen to be / know:
- someone who works in education (university professor / school teacher) where you see the impacts of latinisation in your daily life;
- someone who works in the publishing / graphic design industry where you also see the impacts of latinisation?
I can conduct the interviews both in Russian and in English, so if you / your respondent doesn’t speak English, I can do it in Russian! (Although my Russian is not that good... but I understand it fine.)
Please let me know if you’re interested or know someone who’s interested. Thank you so much!
