Post Body

My Mom (who currently lives in Wisconsin) was just diagnosed last week with cancer. I’m trying to figure out how to quickly move her here to Utah so that I can be her caregiver during this difficult time. Her only income is social security but everything I am reading online about transferring her to Utah says that Utah taxes this, which seems absurd. Is there any way around this? She’s alone in Wisconsin and has only remained there because the housing is way more affordable. I’m worried with medical bills now coming in and possibly taking a cut in benefits due to taxation it would be a major struggle to have her here. I’m lost…any insight would be much appreciated.
