I love sports and history and I've always found it fascinating how a particular sport can evolve over time. We especially see this in football where there are now several different "disciplines" - American, Canadian, Australian, Gaelic, rugby, association/soccer, etc. For all I know, they may even share a common ancestor with other sports like hockey or polo.
Is anyone aware of a tree-type chart that would show this evolution? Similar to a language tree or to the Christian denominations chart... I figure this community would be a good first place to ask!
